I've had this book on my shelf forever and I finally got around to reading it. Honestly I expected more.

I suffer with anxiety and am a total People pleaser so I could feel myself relating to Evan however would I lie to please people.. a huge No! I felt like Evan was automatically self sabotaging from the minute he met the Murphys and it was awful to read.
Okay life lesson right there.. don't lie! It never works out how you want it to.

The character I wanted to know more about turned out to be Connor but we could only learn so much he was such a broken soul. Honestly I actually did wish the friendship was real. For him and his family's sake more than anything.

Yes it was an okay read but I just felt like it could have been so much more. Maybe I'd built my expectations too high for this one based on the premise alone.
