Heavy, but readable

So, this book made me think a lot about the past and the memories and feelings we cling to. Both Austin and Edie are haunted by ghosts in their past, which prevent their happiness. All the bad stuff and the hurt and the guilt trap them in an endless loop of despair. It's devastating to read. When you've lived with shame for so long, it works its way into the very fabric of your being. Who are you without your baggage?

This was a tough read at times, but also sweet in its 2nd chance at friendship/love storyline. Their were some spicy moments, too, but mostly it was about two broken people trying to fit their broken parts together.

Now I'm off to read book 5.
