Okay, biggest narrative problem with the book were the most cliché main characters. I mean they ARE 18/19 year olds, but still....
Other problems inglude throwing mental health diagnoses around as insults and general derogatory language against mentally ill people.
Additionally misogynistic is used quite frequently, the main character has SO MUCH internalised misoginy that is not at all questioned and the main character keeps slutshaming other women.
The main love interest and his friends keep being referred to as goth and punk because they wear tattoos....
