The Midnight Line: A Jack Reacher Novel by Lee Child

2.0

I’ve read a number of Reacher stories and this one was a single at best. It seemed longer than its 368 pages. For me, the story was slow developing and largely void of suspense. There are only so many times one can enjoy the description of a cross-country truck drive and enumerable treks across rocky Wyoming back roads. And I thought the story itself was tedious. I see the book has a relatively high rating overall although I haven’t read the comments to understand what others see that I might have missed. To each there own, of course. Maybe the next one will be more in line with what I’m used to from this line.
