The Homesman by Glendon Swarthout

2.0

Let me begin by stating that westerns are not my cup of tea. Why then did I choose to read this book? Well, the blurb made it seem like it would be mostly about the group of insane women being transported. This was not the case. While their stories were told at different points in the book, I didn't feel like the book was about them. It was much more about Mary Bee Cuddy and Briggs who are transporting the women from the Territory back east to be delivered to their families. For me, the story was a disappointment and was very dry. Oh well, at least it was short.
