Tell Me a Story: Episode #1 by Tamara Lush

3.0

I admit to picking this one primarily based on the location. You so rarely see a book set in Orlando and this author was obviously familiar with the area. I got a big kick out of the "Did you know that this was a sinkhole?" line in reference to Lake Eola.

Ahem, on to the actual book. The whole premise of this one was a odd. Emma is a book store owner in Orlando and a "free spirit" which really just translates to her not wanting to get too emotionally attached to her lovers. Caleb is a billionaire real estate mogul widower. They meet-lust at a book event, where Emma reads to Caleb from her own original erotica. The sex scenes in the book within a book were pretty terrible and it actually detracted from my enjoyment of the story overall, which is a shame, because the sex in the actual book was pretty good.

I appreciated that it was a quick read, because the pacing in the book was good, but I didn't feel like there was much left to be said at the end. Overall, it just felt a bit too easy and overdone for me. There are so many billionaires to go around in romances and all that money just clears up problems in a snap.
