Really difficult and unsettling read. I really enjoyed the way it was written and the characters (even tho they were unlikable) were very developed

The ending gave me fucking whippooplashhhh and left me so disappointed by Amos. You’re praying the whole book that Anna gets the justice she deserves and you think Amos is going to be the one to stand up for her and then what, he does nothing knowing how much pain she’s in??????

It’s just really hard to read these kinds of books where women are disbelieved and overlooked and erased and nothing happens to the people who commit these kinds of crimes. I literally got to the chapter where she tells her dad and I cried so hard I had to set the book down for like a week before I could finish it

And I really thought this was going to be about Amos and Emerson being gay for eachother
