This book was kind of a disappointment for me. I’d heard so many good things about this whole series and I loved the premise - three estranged sisters inheriting a professional hockey team. But this book really fell flat for me. I liked the heroine, Harper, I liked that she as a ball-busting, ambitious, CEO out to prove to herself and pretty much the entire world really, that a woman is just as capable of running a hockey team as a man. The whole “I am woman, here me roar” thing was appealing. I also understood her hesitancy to let Remy too close given her past, both with her father and with the last hockey player she dated. And I kind of liked Remy but there were too many little things in the book that bothered me and overall, I just felt...bored. I do hope the rest of the series is better - I’m already pretty excited for Isabel and I’m guessing the Russian.
