The Place of No Stars
by Erin Hunter
Although this book is probably one of the stronger entries in the Broken Code arc, it’s still not great. The first third of the book continues the argument of what to do with Bramblestar/the imposter, until suddenly our main characters remember that it’s possible to dream your way into the Dark Forest. This changes the argument from “oh nooo, what do we do about Bramblestar” to “but it’s too dAnGeRoUs to go into the Dark Forest.” But of course, our main characters do and things FINALLY happen.
Overall not a bad read, but the Erins have just gotten too repetitive with their writing, creating a ton of unnecessary filler and sloppily written, wishy-washy characters.
