The Crown of Embers was a great continuation to The Girl of Fire and Thorns. I thought that the characters became much more developed and Rae Carson let the relationships develop in a very realistic way. I really liked Elisa and Hector's relationship (I have a thing for "princess and knight" type romances). And I loved the new character Storm. The plot was more of a "quest" type plot, which is not always my favorite, but I was engaged the whole book. Probably because in this series "physical quest" goes hand-in-hand with "spiritual growth" for the characters. So glad I picked this series up!
