The Truth about Forever by Sarah Dessen

4.0

I gave this book 4 stars out of 5
This is a story about a girl named Macy and her summer. She has a boyfriend named Jason and everything is good until Jason leaves and Macy gets a new job at a catering company and finds a new boy, Wes.
½ a star for Jason, the boy Macy is dating at the beginning of the book. Jason was so ridiculously annoying. He is too logical to the point of not making any sense at all. But that was the way the author wanted to portray him so he is perfect. He treats Macy very bad and that drove me crazy. No guy in his right mind should treat a girl like that.
1 star for the flow. Everything seemed to flow nicely. I never fell like parts when by to fast, nor did any parts lag on for a long time. The plot moved quickly.
1 ½ stars for the relationship. Wes and Macy have great chemistry from the very beginning and it did not seem forced or unrealistic.
2 stars for all the other little characters that worked at the catering company she works for, Wish. All these people seem genuine and want what is best for Macy. They seem more real than any of the people she knew before. They all have their own personalities and traits. They change over the point of the story but they don’t get confusing like some characters do.
-1 star for Macy’s mother. I have no idea why but she drove me crazy.
