Alone by Megan E. Freeman

This was a super fast, intense read! Novels in verse are not always my thing, but in this case, it allowed the author to touch upon (but not dwell) on some of the harsher realities of being left alone (if you are super sensitive about animals, maybe skip this one? Some of the references made me cringe, but again...the verse format quickly moved me along). The format also helped keep the pace moving quickly.

I really, really wish that the reader had a little more world-building background either as build up to the main character being left alone or at the end as a reveal. It felt a bit rushed. Overall though, I think a lot of readers would really like this one!
