The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Díaz

2.0

I really liked the characters in this book and the story (such as there was) was pretty good too. But what drove me crazy was that like half of it was in Spanish. Or Spanglish? You know how sometimes books will use foreign words but because of the context you know what it means? I think that is what the author was going for except I could not Devine meaning from the context. AT ALL! Also, some of the "backstory" of the grandparents and all, I just skipped those chapters entirely. I get it, the family is cursed, please just tell me if this fat kid gets laid or not! It wasn't a bad book; I felt compelled to finish it, but I found myself frustrated with it a lot.
