Vampires of El Norte by Isabel Cañas
Did not finish book. Stopped at 41%.
I knew going in that it was more historical fiction as opposed to horror, so that aspect was fine.
I really didn't like the romance. It was so repetitive and it didn't make sense to me why adults would care so much about someone they kissed when they were 12 and hadn't seen again, besides Néstor's trauma. Since the romance was the main part of the book, I wasn't particularly interested in continuing.

Moderate: Blood, Grief, Injury/Injury detail
