Scarlett Hart: Monster Hunter by Marcus Sedgwick

3.0

Scarlett Hart is an underage monster hunter who has the police after her for illegal monster hunting.. When she uncovers a plot by a fellow monster hunter to create monsters so he could kill them and collect the ransom, Scarlett defies the law to stop his mad plan. Scarlett Hart is a fun adventure romp full of brave heroes, dastardly villains, and exciting thrills. Readers will like Scarlett's willingness to do the right thing and bravery even though everyone around her keeps telling her she's too young. Yet, it is an adult monster hunter who is irresponsibly endangering people by creating monsters just so he could collect the bounty. Overall Scarlett Hart, Monster Hunter is an exciting back with a lesson about how adults are not necessarily always right just because they are adults.
