This is one of the worst books I've ever read. The prose is lazy and forgettable, the characters are self indulgent fantasies and the portrayal of serious issues such as abuse and suicide is so offensively ill informed. This book has such a nasty anti feminist narrative that dresses itself up as feminism because this book is ostensibly about a woman. It is about a woman who has absolute contempt for all women who are not thin and white and that arrogance makes this book completely insufferable. This book has such an atrocious outlook on life it has made me judge anyone that enjoys it or finds it relatable since it is a self congratulating slog of school bullies pretending they are victims of their own cruelty because occasionally they feel sad.
