This book reminded me of one of my favorite television shows, Grown-ish. Following Sydney’s journey through her first year of college was interesting. Sometimes she seemed so confident and sure of herself. Other times, she battled self-doubt. Although I found her to be too whiny at times, it all felt very realistic. The ups and downs of her friendships felt authentic, too. I was so invested in the identity of her mystery online crush. I was way off in my guess on their identity. While I enjoyed this book, I think it would’ve been a better experience if I chose a different format. The sections of the book that were told via tweets, emails, and blog posts didn’t flow well in the audiobook version.
