This is a solid 4.5 ⭐ rating from me.
I was hooked the moment I starting this story. I have read quite a bit of romantasy and this one was quite different. Enemies to lovers, both cursed and a secret marriage is all the best troops for me. Darrow and Aella were instant characters to like in my opinion with their ups and downs. Yes some parts seemed forced but reading the situations and curses they were both enduring made up for it. The characters had growth and you can see them connecting, the plot was pretty unique and the setting gives you plenty of room to see for future additions to the series. The pace was consistent and I never found myself lagging along or bored but actually not wanting to put the book down. I'm looking forward to see what happens next in the second part of the series later on this year!
