Good Material by Dolly Alderton
4.0

I understand the Nora Ephron comparison, though Alderton's wit isn't quite as razor sharp as Ephron's (or is it? Am I just steeping in nostalgia like Andy and maybe actually Ephron isn't as good as I remember?).

Some of the details (especially the LISTS) were very funny and excellent, and some of it was just a little too whiny/bitter? But that's part of what humans are like, and who am I to judge. Some very good insights on relationships, expectations of partners, adulthood choices, societal expectations, etc. Overall, a fun read.

Spoiler I loved hearing Jen's voice at the end, although even that was maybe not quite as defined as it should have been--I understand you can love someone and not be in love with them/can have complex feelings for someone or a relationship, but it seemed almost like she did want to get back with Andy...the TASH reveal, ugh no thank you!!
