A Wedding In December by Sarah Morgan
4.0

I so enjoyed this for a Christmassy December read. It had the ideal combination of drama and light, festive fun. As the White family travels to Colorado to see youngest daughter Rosie get married, they are all forced to focus on their own lives, and whether the paths they have chosen are still right for them. Meanwhile, Rosie finds that the speed of her wedding, and the contact with her parents and sister, are causing doubts to form in her mind.

The character examinations (in sister Katie's case internal analysis, in mum Maggie's through conversation) are fascinating and really give an insight into what has driven their decisions up to this point. But their interactions are also brilliant and at times very funny. In particular, there are a number of car journeys that had me laughing out loud!

The story develops brilliantly and really builds towards the end, but is all underpinned by a beautiful and festive setting that made it such an enjoyable book to read.
