The Campisi Family

Reading the previous books in this series, I knew I was in for an extended trip on the angst train with Tex and Mo's story. How something that appears to be so damn perfect that can get so damn screwed up seems to be the eternally story between these two.
Tex killed his father, the head of the Campisi family. He has to become a monster he hates in order to protect the ones that he loves. Then the great internal family struggle of who will step up as the head of the family; a struggle that threatens to rip apart everything Tex holds close to his heart. And, in order to protect Mo, he pushes her away.
What Tex doesn't know is that Mo is willing to do anything to save the love of her life, even though he continually tramples all over her heart. And she is willing to let Tex believe whatever it takes to protect him; even at the cost of having him by her side.
The angst is real. There are so many secrets told to try to protect each other when it just leads to a crapfest of hurt and pain. It is only when they truly learn to trust in each other and their love that they truly come together to conquer and control the Campisi family.
