• The Titan Series is a spinoff of the Covenant Series, which I didn't read. Since there was no way I could read the other series before starting this one I went ahead and dived in. I don't feel like I really missed anything (other than some damn good sounding books!). I understood what was going on, even though I probably didn't understand Seth as much as I would have if I had read the previous series. There are a few mentions in the beginning of what happened before and a super quick recap in a bout 2 pages near the end. I definitely plan on going back and reading the other series because it sounds awesome.
• Seth isn't the nicest guy around, but I kind of like that. He tells it like it is, even when he knows it's going to hurt. He has some soft spots though, especially when it comes to Josie. He sent to make sure that Josie is ok and protect her but manages to insinuate himself further into her life by not leaving.
• Josie isn't your typical college girl. Her mom is suffering from schizophrenia and the town where she grew up ostracized her and her family because her mom was only 17 when she had Josie. She's a good mix of shy and sassy, especially when it comes to Seth. I loved their back and forth banter.
• Pretty sure Armentrout is out cause readers pain and suffering in her books. She destroyed me more than once in the Lux series and she does some destroying in The Return, though thankfully it's not quite as bad (though I am fully prepared for their to be more destroying in future books).
• I don't know much about mythology, but I find it fascinating and love reading books that use mythology. The Return is one of my favorites because it uses a lot of gods/goddess/etc that I have heard of and I liked how their backgrounds were worked into the story.
• When it came to Josie and Seth part of me feels that for a lot of the book they could have just as easily been 16/17 than 20/21 but there were definitely some parts that having them be older worked a little better, plus The Return is extra steamy. I also really like that this is a New Adult book that is NOT a contemporary romance. Don't get me wrong, I love contemporary romance, but if New Adult is really going to be a category than it needs to have some other genres besides contemporary.
• The Return made me eager to read the Covenant Series. I want to know more about Seth and about everything that had previous happened.
Overall The Return was an excellent Greek mythology read that I would recommend to just about anyone!
