The Arrogant One by Marni Mann
medium-paced
- Plot- or character-driven? A mix
4.5
This book totally surprised me in the best way! I devoured it in one sitting and couldn’t put it down. Hart and Sadie were absolute perfection. The chemistry between them was electric from the very beginning, and their journey was the perfect mix of steam, emotion, and heart.
Hart is your classic one-night-stand guy who doesn’t believe in forever… until she walks in. Sadie, on the other hand, has always played it safe until Hart flips her whole world upside down. Their connection is intense, addictive, and yes… very spicy. What I loved most was that the story didn’t rely solely on the spice—there was depth, fun, and a storyline that kept me completely engaged.
The restaurant and food influencer subplot was such a fun twist and added something fresh to the story. And I really appreciated that when the drama hit, the characters actually handled it like adults. No unnecessary third act breakup here! That alone earned major points from me.
And can we talk about the narration? Vanessa Edwin & Aiden Snow brought these characters to life perfectly. Their voices fit the roles so well, and the emotions came through in every scene.
If you love steamy romance with heart, chemistry that leaps off the page, and a couple you can’t stop rooting for—The Arrogant One needs to be on your TBR!
