This book was so lyrical!

Told as if it were poetry, this story centers around Esperanza, a young Latina girl growing up in Chicago on Mango Street. Each short story compiled together tells sometimes tragic sometimes joyful pieces of her life growing up.

I really enjoyed this glimpse into this beautiful main character and it genuinely made me feel like I was listening to poetry!
