I liked having Gabi's story, she was such a good character in the last book but I'm glad she got her own story.
I enjoyed the dynamics between Gabi and Vic and how they interacted. He was great at encouraging her to be herself and not making her feel embarrassed by not knowing things or the way her mind worked. I liked that he was a good guy at her core, just busy but was always there for her when she needed him and the same vice versa. I liked the description of him bringing her peace and her bringing him comfort, I thought that was sweet.
I always like it when a relationship kind of starts because of a pact or a deal and the same goes for this one. The amount of focus put on her being a 28 year old virgin was odd though, it almost became a key part of her character which just felt weird to me. She's way more than that and the other characters'reactions to it were weird and often judgmental as well.
There wasn't much conflict in this movie which was nice and the tiny bit there was was resolved super quickly so it felt like a bit of a non-starter. The description of Vic being a walking red flag felt a little unfair considering he'd been nothing but respectful and kind to Gabi throughout the book, especially when she was in vulnerable situations.
An easy read, perfect when you just need a refresher sort of book.
