My first work by Dostoyevsky, I had to see what all the hype was about. His writing is extremely beautiful (when he wants to make any sense) So much yearning happens in this book it is painful. I could relate to this book a lot in terms of the loneliness described and of the feeling of having nothing left for the future. I also don’t generally enjoy classics, so I think this definitely changed my mind about them. Overall, I can’t say i was disappointed at all, definitely won’t be the last book I read of his.
