I feel like I’ve kind of run out of things to say about these types of dark mafia romances? This was fine; I liked it enough. I wasn’t particularly invested in any of the characters except the kid, but at least they were semi interesting characters. I wish the secondary plot wasn’t just ‘one group vs another just because’. I’d probably feel similarly about the next book, but I don’t think I especially care about their relationship to continue.
