I still find it hard to believe that I didn’t like this book. I mean, this is my genre! With that blurb and that quirky title.. wow, this is added on my list of ‘i-loathe-you-youre-such-a-liar’ book list. Yeah, I have that list.

I love Sophie Kinsella. Her protagonist understood my shopaholic tendencies and she’s one of the reasons I had that secret desire to be a Brit. (it’s over now) anyway, so when this book came my way and plastered that ‘FOR FANS OF SOPHIE KINSELLA’ on my face, I didn’t think twice and just read it.

The main character, Viv, is so stupid for her age. She’s bitter and kind of a nut job. Okay, I’m harsh… I’m not the one to judge and anyway, I *think* I understand, she’s heartbroken and all that. But when the guy is totally acting like an arse AND everybody knows it AND everybody is telling you already and you’re still desperate to get him back???

She even hates her Grandmother for having a better love life than her. I swear, this girl is just so sad.

The plot was a bit of a mess too. I thought it would focus more on the ridiculous website that Viv did but really it was just about her getting back with her ex fiance. If she’s not doing that, she’s busy judging people, complaining about work or hating her GRAN.

The Romance aspect was a snoozefest and the love interest was like a tiny dot in the story. Sometimes I even forget that he exist in the story at all! Never Google Heartbreak is such a disappointment. High expectation is really not advisable.
