Okay, being completely honest, I did not like this one as much as the other two. I spent a lot of it questioning the author’s choices and reeling over information that seems sort of thrown in. It does, however, mostly tie together in the end. When you view it through the lens of a genuine war and how lives can be taken seemingly without rhyme or reason and from the viewpoint of a girl who has been heavily sheltered for her entire existence and therefore hit with new information at every turn, it makes sense. I don’t love it narratively, but I can forgive it. I’m upset that I didn’t really get to read about my favorite characters as much in this one, so I’m hoping they make more appearances in the next. Not in love, but it wasn’t bad and I plan on reading the next one.
