The Satisfaction Café by Kathy Wang
5.0

I was lucky enough to have a copy of this book as an arc.

Wow! I’m still at a slight loss of words and there is a lot to unpack in this book. This is slightly of genre for what I’d usually read, but so glad I did.

It follows the life of Joan who has moved to California from Taiwan to study.

This takes you on a journey of exploring the different relationships she encounters along the way and the affect this has on her and those around her.

It really explores human nature and how we all differ in the way we deal with things such as forgivenessC change, love and grief and the profound effect this can have.

There are a lot of themes explored in this book which could be triggering, so make sure you go into it prepared but if you do you will not be disappointed.

I felt like I was there with Joan through all the twists and turns of life and love how relatable and raw the book was throughout.

Would definitely recommend this book.
