Midnight Tides by Steven Erikson
5.0

"Feather Witch, the question of what is deserved should rarely, if ever, be asked. Asking it leads to deadly judgment, and acts of unmitigated evil. Atrocity revisited in the name of justice breeds its own atrocity."

Midnight Tides is by far my favorite book in this series. There are so many strong POVs, and I was genuinely excited every time the POV changed, which is rare for me. I feel this book is setting up for an epic second half of this series.

Firstly, Bugg…
Badass

Trull and Fear Sengar have quickly become some of my favorite characters in this series. I cannot wait to see how their stories develop in the upcoming books. Also, Seren Pedac was surprisingly one of my favorite characters as well. Hopefully, she and Fear will play a significant role in the forthcoming books.

The last 150 pages were some of the best writing I have ever read. I am not mentally prepared for the last half of this series.

I honestly have a hard time summarizing these books because they are just so complex. I don't feel as lost as I did in the first four books, which is a nice feeling 🤣
