The Breach by Patrick Lee
5.0
I was wondering if I should give this four or five stars. I went with five. How could I possibly rate it thus when the book has no spaceships? (Oops, sorry, spoiler alert.) I'll tell you: I really enjoyed the book. It was a fun, easy, sci-fi goodie-filled read. But there were a few moments in the last third that kind of blew my mind. So I figured, yes, it deserves the amazing rating. It was very easy to read Lee's style of fast-paced prose. I do appreciate a book with a good slog through narrative soup. But I also like a fast read, too. Different books for different moods! The story totally sets you up for a premise that it then turns on its end (thus the mind blowing moments) more than once. It definitely got me. And I'll be getting the sequel!
