This eighth in the Dragon Masters series seemed quite tame, even with the battle between Eko & her Thunder Dragon and Rory & Vulcan. (That might be a tiny spoiler.) There is a wedding, a deepening of the story behind Eko and her Thunder Dragon, and - of course - a cliff hanger leading to the next book in the series.
Like so many stories, this one focuses on friendship, power, and viewpoints.
I did not read this book aloud to our grandchildren, given that our granddaughter was having occasional nightmares about dragons. However, I read the book with the intention of sharing a tame synopsis with our grandchildren.
And a final thought, where there is thunder, there is often lightning. Kind of difficult to separate them out, making me wonder about the future relationship between the Thunder Dragon and Lalo, the Lightning Dragon.
