Rebel Angels by Libba Bray
4.0

Once again, I absolutely adored this book. Libba Bray is quickly climbing up the ranks of my favorite authors. I love the characters in this book. They are all so well rounded and relatable.
While I loved this book, I definitely enjoyed the first book more. I think the atmosphere of the first book was just so great, it definitely felt like Spence boarding school was a character in itself, so I really missed that in this book. I also think the pacing in this book was off. It was a slow build, which I don’t mind at all, but in the last bit of the book so much happened and it felt really quickly resolved for all of the buildup.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. In fact, I devoured it! I found myself looking forward to having enough free time to read it and ended up buying the audiobook so that I could listen to it when I didn’t have time to sit and read.
I was excited to see that the next book is 800+ pages long! I’m sure that will help with the pacing issues and give plenty of pages for development so nothing feels rushed. I’m SO excited to dive into the last book of this trilogy... even though I just know it’s going to be super emotional, just like the first two books.
