How glad I am to be back reading another Melissa Foster novel, and my second in her Silver Island series. Fourth book overall. Always Her Love features Levi Steele and Tara Olsen, and is a single-parent/friend-to-lovers romance that will be every bit as satisfying as is promised in the enticing blurb and cover both.

This is my second dive into this series, my first novel being book three, Caught by Love . There we met Archer Steele and Indi Oliver, and thus forth swooned over that scene on the stairs that till this day, I have yet to forget about. By deduction alone, you'll have worked out that this novel features another Steele, hence the series name 'Steeles at Silver Island'. Levi has sprung up here and there previously, but it's time for the focus to be on him and Tara.

As outlined in the blurb, Levi is a single father. How he came to be such, you'll soon discover as you read, but those origins are what make--for Tara at least--him forbidden fruit. A line she shouldn't cross. She values Levi and his daughter in her life so much so, that she has stowed away certain thoughts and feelings from escaping from her lips to his ears and into his heart. All three of them have been a part of each other's lives since forever and as Tara is a fixture in keeping an element of normalcy and love for his daughter, temptation is too much of a risk to disrupt that for an innocent who deserves to remain as such, despite what is going on in the small world around her.

However...the forbidden fruit eventually has to be eaten, and temptation wins yet again.

The intense connection that burns like a roaring fire between Levi and Tara is one so close to an inferno, that the fight to remain incognito and sleuthy doesn't last long. Much to the relief of both parties, the flames are far from doused but are encouraged not only with the backing of the aforementioned innocent, but the entire Dark Knight Motorcycle Club. The DKMC, for short. Yes folks, we're being treated to more of this badass biker gang who is more than just wheels on a road, but is a moving, mobile family that looks after their own as much as they do those who become family. I've missed this crew since my last Melissa Foster read, so it was lovely to get to have them play such an important and influential part in this story.

Always Her Love is yet another example of why the world should give Melissa Foster a chance to dive in and fall in love with her and her books. The story we were given here was more than a simple romance--which is pretty far from simple at times, try scorching hot!--, but a series of messages and things we can take away and appreciate. Such as Tara's endless devotions and love to Levi and his daughter, that just because someone's family (blood), doesn't mean that you have to put up with their actions, that thanks to the DKMC, you can choose who is family to you, and that no matter what--thanks to Levi--, that love really does conquer all and is the very thing needed to mend and fix anything that's broken.

I'm very pleased to say that this is a second successive book in the series that I would more than highly recommend to any reader looking for their next 'must read' novel. Regardless of what your personal reading tastes are, this is going to go down well with many readers and you'll love it as much as I did. Correction, almost as much as I did. It's a winner for me, and then some.

Eagerly awaiting a return to Silver Island with book five, Wild Island Love . Until then, grab a copy of Always Her Love , brew your favourite drink, cozy on up and prepare to meet your next Melissa Foster book boyfriend.
