2.5

This is the kind of ya that has a heavy emphasis on the y. It’s very cheesy, very necessary to suspend disbelief, and honestly somewhat cringey. The puzzles aren’t the kind of puzzles the reader has enough info to figure out themselves so it’s not even worth reading to see if you can figure it out. Plus some of the characters are obnoxiously annoying. The 18yr old who not only doesn’t text swear words but also speaks them like ‘mother faxer’ and ‘you beach!’ is appalling. Speaking in riddles like the mad hatter? Lame.
