DNF at 33%. I don’t know of a realistic way that “relationship” could ever turn around to be healthy. At a third of the way through the book, I was feeling icky whenever Carter and Zoey interacted and you could tell the writer was trying to show their relationship growing and deepening. Really it was just an abusive relationship. I did read other reviews to see if it was worth continuing and even the good reviews talked about how messed up Carter treated Zoey. Didn’t seem worth it. Though I do appreciate the author’s note at the beginning of the book noting that others have had issues, I wasn’t prepared for what I read. I wouldn’t label it a bully romance like it was advertised. More like an abuse and assault cycle.
