Yeesh. I would NOT describe this book as a romance. If anything i'd guess its about family relationships and therapy? Whatever it was, I wasn't a fan. I was just sooooo bored ya know? First of all, the narrator for this audiobook was unbearable. She gave no personality to any of the characters. So if you read this book (although, i'm giving this one star so you can tell I wouldn't recommend that), opt for the physical copy.
Every character in this was underdeveloped and uninteresting. They made me cringe with their pet names for each other, Yuki's "radio show" was unbearable, and the constant therapeutic language about Porter's mental health struggle was exhausting. The second half of the book felt like listening in on someones therapy session.
As someone with extreme depression, it was a good depiction of the disorder. However, it wasn't an INTERESTING or well written story to accompany it. It's a bummer because its a common thing to suffer from, and I was excited to read a story about it.
