This book was really good. I really love how quickly I can read these and how easy Junji Ito makes it to understand what is going on. I always love the twist endings and even when I'm reading there is always a part of me that's like "Will there be a happy ending this time?". Then I remind myself that, I am reading Junji Ito.
The actual short story "Deserter" I think might be one of my favorites. There were so many layers that made that story unsettling and disturbing to me. I also love that some of his stories are open ended so you have to come up with your own ideas about what happened after that. What did they characters do?
I truly adore his writing and his art style. I can't wait to read the rest of my collection.
