Stolen Heir
by Sophie Lark
“moja mała baletnica.” My little ballerina.”
Is this too early to say, but this is my favourite book in the series?
I love it so much.
Compared to the first book, which was a fast pace plotline, this one heavily invested in being detailed out on the narrative, the journey of each main character individually and their chemistry together and, of course, action pack scene.
What I find so romantic and lovely about Miko and Nessa's romance is how they show their love. It wasn't a lot of action and interaction, but the indirect chemistry of language, art, music, etc.
So wholesome and it speaks volume of how much they adore each other.
Other than their chemistry, we thoroughly focused on each of their own journey.
Nessa; her journey of growing out of her age, finding herself, being independent and seeing where she belongs in her family.
Miko; he is trying to find solace in his life, love, friendship and a connection with his old self.
His confusing feeling and warmth he felt was his own way of finding out what he deserves and the light in his world.
It was really a good balance of romance and mafia action as compared to the first one.
This really took their time in developing the characters.
I can't wait to read the rest of the series, but Nessa and Miko are my favourite.
“I see her, and she sees me. I was death, and she was life. I thought I’d had stolen her, brought her down to the underworld. All the while she was waking me up. Stirring the blood in my veins. Breathing air into my lungs.”
