mlebird 's review for:
The Fault in Our Stars
by John Green
I was going to complain about how the characters were too smart, well-spoken, and witty (which sometimes comes off as pretentious) to be believable teenagers, but in the end it didn't really matter. This book is great, and deals with Real Life stuff in a reasonable, mostly non-patronizing way; a lovely thing in a YA novel. I won't deny I spent the last 20% weeping, as this book is (predictably - cancer: bad) sad.
