Well, this was interesting š¤Ø.
I donāt really know what I was expecting but it definitely wasnāt this. I feel like the story had the potential to be something but it just didnāt work out. The characters felt off to me and I wish we got to explore their bonds (not just with Scarlett but with the other guys as well) but instead what we got just fell kinda flat. One thingās for sure, Scarlett is a headstrong FMC but there were some instances where she felt flimsy. I couldnāt get a read on the guys (and maybe that was done on purposeā¦ idk) which made the book harder to get through. I didnāt see any connection romantically linking the characters together and I missed the part where they grew up together (I wanted actual flashback scenesā¦ not just a couple sentences in some of the chapters). I feel like the book synopsis over promised and under delivered which was frustrating to say the least. Iām not sure if Iām going to continue the series or not (but all I can say is that Iād be okay with not continuing itā¦ so weāll see š¤·š¼āāļø)
