This definitely had its issues but about halfway through, I couldn't put it down anymore. The worldbuilding is so rich and just so...real. Some people have said that it is a bit too on the nose and I can definitely see where they're coming from but I still enjoyed it. I didn't enjoy the romance aspect (I know, I'm just as shocked as you are) but it isn't really a major part. I didn't see the ending come it at all but that made it even better! It's not something you often read in fantasy but it was super well done. So – complicated feelings but overall, a good book and a great fantasy.
