Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

3.0

This was oddly comforting and I wasn't expecting that from a book that was supposedly about a ruthless assassin 😅

Honestly though, I had a good time reading it and I will be continuing with the series at soooome point (no one knows when 🙈). I found it a bit hard to root for such an unlikable main character though, I don't know why Maas wrote her this way, cause she's not relatable one bit and I couldn't find it in myself to like her AT ALL 😅

Plus, I think this felt so cozy because Maas was probably more focused on utilising the "found family" trope than actually make the plot thrilling, cause literally Chaol and Celaena were galavanting about on day 2 of their encounter and I was like "excuse me sir, isn't she a fucking ASSASSIN????" 🤯

So yeah, no thrill, no stakes, just a teenage girl that apparently is so notorious that we have to be TOLD of all her accomplishments instead of SHOWN.
