Ah! I am thrilled I got to read Just One Night, the first book in the Kingston Family series. I got my first exposure to the Kingston family, and specifically Linc, with the book Dare to Stay.
Linc and Jordan have been best friends almost their whole lives. Jordan developed a crush in high school that was quickly crushed by her mother when saying they live in two different worlds. Now Jordan works for Linc and despite the attraction she harbors for Linc she never lets herself go there.
One night Linc gets stupid drunk after finding out his father had an affair that resulted in a child that he left in foster care, he ends up at Jordan's place and kisses her. It changes everything. While Jordan knows that Linc and she are from different worlds, Linc has changed the game.
I enjoyed Just One Night. I think the whole different worlds and insight into what it's like to come from money versus having to struggle your entire life was a great aspect of the story. I'm excited to see where the series goes and if the strife between Linc and another character gets resolved.
