There is a LOT missing from the anime in this. Usually it's the other way around, and was hoping some things would be expanded on, or would be a 1:1. This is not that. This is a very condensed version of events, even more than the first two movies in comparison to the series. Also, the labyrinths just don't have the same impact as they do in the anime.
That said I still loved it and enjoyed reading it. I'm not sure if that is because my mind filled in the blanks, but I did enjoy it. And love having it in my collection.
