“ It’s OK if it takes you some time to find it again. And it’s OK if you find it, just to lose a bit of it here and there. That’s the beauty of it, yeah? It comes and goes. Not every day is a happy one, and it shouldn’t be. It’s in the trying, I think.”

One of the things I’m going to start asking loved ones is if they found their happy today. I think it’s an important reminder to even just check in and ask yourself.

No surprise, this was a cute read. Also Beckett and his social anxiety and feeling overwhelmed in loud spaces is very relatable and it was nice to see that explored in a book. Just like Beckett, I have my person who centers me and makes it easier in those moments. Also Beckett basically being an animal whisper is also the cutest.

Also does a town exist like this in real life? Because if so, I’d like to move there. I can be the bookshop owner!
