Ravensong by TJ Klune
4.0

Two books in and TJ Klune has already solidified himself as a favorite.

In Gordo and Mark’s story, we jump back and forth between their childhood and Gordo’s three years on the road with the Bennett brothers until we reach the present, where Gordo and Mark are both stubborn, non-communicative dumbasses (that I love very much). This book had a lot of resentment, frustration, anguish, and sorrow, and it was sometimes difficult to read all of that knowing it wouldn’t be as bad if the characters were better communicators. The tension and anger between them felt a little inauthentic at times, because I didn’t see a reason for them not having an honest conversation earlier in the book. However, once they did confront each other, things were sexy and so full of love and relief.

The style of TJ Klune’s writing is just so special, and I can’t wait to read the next in the series.
