The Trouble with Love by Claire Contreras
2.0
I guess the characters were well written.. but with how much I didn't like the rest of the writing, I can't really tell. Writing had plot holes (like driving 2h, dropping her mother off, Morgan goes out of the facility runs into Bennett and already has a shitty hotel booked, but when you see the mother's character you know Morgan couldn't have taken her to the hotel), then the unnatural logic, character developments (Morgan going from never forgiving to 'oh we worked out our issues' like immediately; another goodie was Morgan's issues with Bennett lying.. he actually didn't, it's Ross and Rachel all over again, only this time just one party gives in to the psychotic unreasonable screaming - and you guessed it, Morgan again)
And this brings me to another point. How often do you abandon the book before you have to conclude it's just not good. I did it once per 0-3 chapters. But the biggest screaming of NOPE in my head was at chapter 50, but at that point book is basically over so I kinda had to power through.
