I liked this more when I was a kid, but as an adult, it does not hit quite the same way. It does not help that my copy has highlighter and commentary. I hate when people desecrate books.

It is a good story. It gives good insight into how trauma can present physically and mentally through silence, isolation, and self-harm. This is not a light read, but if you are open, it will help you to develop more empathy toward those who have experienced trauma.
